Chargies is an experimental messenger for making simple connections.

The Chargies app makes it easy and fun to message anyone, whether you communicate with them regularly or not. Can’t find words to express your thoughts or feelings? Send a Chargie to put a smile on a friend’s face!

Think of Chargies as a cross between YO and Tamagotchi. When you download the app, you will get 10 cute creatures that live in your phone for a day until their batteries run down. Chargies need to be passed on to a friend every 24 hours or sooner to keep their batteries from running out. Empty battery = death :(

To help Chargies survive, simply send them to any of your contacts. You can even send a Chargie to a contact that doesn’t have the app installed. Those contacts will get an invite to join the app and receive the Chargie you sent via SMS.

Make sure you take care of Chargies; if too many of them die on your phone, you will be locked out of the app!

Similar to the YO app, Chargies is a one-bit messenger. One-bit messaging is a simple form of communication that encourages you to get in touch with any of your contacts whether you speak to them frequently or not.

Chargies messenger is now available in English and Russian.
